At Point & Palm Acupuncture, we support both high-performing athletes and everyday people looking to feel better in their bodies. Whether you’re rehabbing an injury, training hard, or navigating stress, fatigue, or overwhelm—our treatments help you recover faster, move with ease, and find a deeper sense of balance.
Rooted in East Asian medicine and guided by years of experience in movement and wellness, our work meets you wherever you are—in motion or in stillness.

-
Acupuncture is a key technique in East Asian medicine that uses thin, sterile needles to stimulate specific points on the body. It helps regulate the nervous system, improve circulation, reduce pain, and restore balance to support physical and emotional health.
-
Tuina is a form of Chinese medical massage that uses techniques like kneading, pressing, rolling, and stretching to move qi and blood through the body. It’s especially effective for musculoskeletal issues, tension, and injury recovery, and can be used alongside acupuncture or as a stand-alone therapy.
-
Dry needling uses manipulation of needles to target trigger points—tight, sensitive areas in muscles—often used to release tension, improve range of motion, and reduce pain. Dry needling is typically used in a more orthopedic or sports medicine context and is often more sensational than traditional acupuncture.
-
Cupping involves placing glass or silicone cups on the skin to create suction and alleviate pressure on the underlying tissues. This technique increases blood flow, helps release tight muscles and fascia, and supports the body’s natural detoxification and healing processes. It often leaves temporary marks on the skin, which are part of the therapeutic response.
-
Gua sha is a scraping technique that uses a smooth-edged tool to gently press and glide along the skin. It helps move blood and lymph, release tension, and reduce inflammation—especially useful for pain, tightness, or early-stage colds.
-
Teishin is a gentle, non-insertive acupuncture technique using a small metal tool to stimulate acupuncture points without penetrating the skin. It’s ideal for sensitive individuals, children, or those needing nervous system support with a softer approach.
